Morning Always Comes

People ask us all the time whats going on with the adoption.

And I LOVE it.  Pregnant woman get asked all the time because you can see them progressing.  They are beautiful and clearly have a baby on the way.  For me, its not so obvious.  So when people ask, I beam.

But lately, I just don't know what to say.  Its so hard to talk about this amazing, exciting, life changing event because there is so much up in the air.  We have no idea what our time line is now.  We have no idea when we will get a referral.  Or how long after that we will get a court date.  And then an embassy date.

We used to say to each other, "this time next year we'll have a little one."  "When we have a baby next year, will we go here?" "When should we start the nursery?"  But now, we just don't know.  We have no time line.  We have no idea.  We feel so very much in the dark.

We know we've been led on this journey toward our child for a reason.  And we are staying the course.  Because one thing I know is that no matter how hard it is to be in the dark, the morning always comes.

And if you've ever seen the sun rise, you know its worth the wait.

I know the sunrise is coming.  I don't know when, but it is coming.  And its going to be amazing.

Thank you all for standing by us as we wait.

I'll be humming this until I can enjoy that beautiful sunrise…

Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Little darling
It's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say

It's alright

Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling

I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and i say,
It's alright
Its alright

We are in the same boat, and I actually wrote a very similar post today (though I haven't been able to bring myself to post it yet). It is always darkest before the dawn, but I know that something beautiful is coming. Hang in there!

people ask me all the time about you guys too...and I just say right now is the prayer time.

just like waiting to conceive, ya know? You just have to do your best and wait.

It sucks, but in the end it makes us better parents. The waiting and hoping and praying and loving before we know them.

Love you guys :)

We are always thinking and praying for you. I may not ask you everytime I see you, but think about your journey all the time. Your chrildren will come and be just as amazing as the two of you. We love you and your dedication on this journey.
